Ahrens Memorial Library has three 3D printers to demonstrate the technology and educate patrons in their use. Classes are offered on a regular basis to instruct patrons on 3D printer usage. Attendance at the classes is required for using the 3D printers; satisfactory completion of all courses is required for unattended use of the 3D printers. 3D printing privileges can be revoked at any time.

The mission of the Ahrens Memorial Library is to provide professional library service to meet the total needs of all members of the military community, DOD civilian employees, and their dependents. The library provides all informational materials and services from commercial and other sources necessary to accomplish Air Force mission, to support professional military and voluntary education programs, and to provide resources and services to promote the productive use of leisure time.
