New Procedures for Child and Youth Services in response to COVID:
-
All individuals will wear a mask; only exemption is children enrolled in the Child Development Centers.
-
Temperatures of all individuals entering the facilities will be taken. This includes, but is not limited to, children/youth, family members, staff, visitors, contractors, etc.
-
Anyone with a temperature will be denied access to the program. This also applies to a sibling in another program.
-
Five (5) questions will be asked:
-
Have you, your child, or anyone in your family had a fever in the last 24 hours?
-
Have you, your child, or anyone in your family experienced cough, chills, headache, or any other symptoms within the last 24 hours?
-
To your knowledge, has anyone in your household been exposed to or in contact with anyone testing positive for Covid-19 within the last 14 days?
-
Have you and your family traveled outside of the state of New Mexico within the last 14 days?
-
How are you and your family feeling now?
-

Anyone answering yes to the above questions will be denied access and referred to Public Health.
5. A table has been set up at the entry ways and social distancing is required, while awaiting the above process.
6. We are requesting older siblings be dropped off in their classrooms first, as to aid in minimizing possible
hazards/chokables from being brought into the young children’s classrooms.
7. Classrooms are now designed as Pods; meaning two (2) classroom will work as one. For example, rooms 1 and 2 are
one pod. The staff members in those classrooms will operate together; covering leave, lunches, etc. They will be the
only staff members entering their pod/classrooms. The only time an unassigned staff member will enter the classroom is
in the event of an emergency. This will aid in preventing the programs from being shut down.
We want to thank you for your patience and understanding, as this process will slow your drop off and pick up. Our goal is to minimize the spread of COVID and lessen the disruption of the Holloman Community.
